etnies announce first stand-alone retail store will launch later this month.
The first etnies store will launch in Kingston Upon Thames this month. Housing the biggest collection of etnies footwear and apparel in Europe, the store showcases etnies latest ranges and exciting new product stories. “Its impressive build out is designed to highlight the synergy between the footwear and apparel lines and showcase the brand in an environment that compliments etnies.”
The store officially launches on the 31st March and to celebrate etnies is giving away FREE goody bags to customers on the day!!

If you don’t already know about Jake Johnson, well… you should! Having moved to New York about a year and a half before Alien Workshop released, “Mind Field” in 2009, rumors circulated of a kid who was on the rise and might be getting on the Alien team. When the video dropped and Johnson’s part stood out strongly among a team of legends (and legends in the making) it was obvious that a new talent had arrived.
Years before many of us were fans of Johnson or even knew who he was, Jeremy Cohan and Johnson had already struck up a friendship and been filming together for some time. Cohan made the little seen but highly regarded Chapman video, “Short Ends” in which Johnson has a standout part. Catch a glimpse of his best bits below:
So when Johnson seemed to disappear off the radar shortly after “Mind Field”, Cohan knew exactly where to find him. Sidelined by injury, Johnson had relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he’s been recovering. Now on the mend and recently back on board, Cohan gives us a video insight into Johnson’s injured months and some of the first clips of him riding again… and it definitely makes good viewing! Enjoy.
The latest Gravity built park in Essex is set to open in Rayleigh on 30th April, so if you fancy spending a day sessioning fresh concrete with the likes of Vans riders Josh “Manhead” Young and Ben Grove, along with assorted members of the Switch Skateshop team, then be sure to head down to King George V playing field from 11pm.

Red Bull “Manny Mania” returns to the UK next month, taking in three qualifiers across England and a final in London, with the overall winner earning themselves a trip to the world finals in New York in August!

The Quiksilver skatepark, Door 33, is taking shape. The old park was fun, but skatepark designer and builder Brent Kronmueller worked with Quiksilver Skate Team Manager Jamey Beeson to make the new park even better. Take a tour of the park with Brent, while Quiksilver Canada’s Jordan Hoffart sneaks in a session on the sections of the park that are already built.
World Industries has posted their third installment of “It’s Your World” which debuts a montage of two up and coming riders from their flow team Pennsylvania’s Chris Mathis and Louisiana’s Zack Kuehne.
